To enable/disable voting pages

• Navigate to https://aac.ca/en/admin/content?title=vote&type=All&author=&status=All&vid=All
• There is a Vote Now page and a Votez Maintenant page for English and French
• To the left of these page titles, check the checkboxes to select them
• Under the Operations dropdown menu, select Publish/Unpublish and then click execute

To edit voting pages

• Navigate to https://aac.ca/en/vote for English or https://aac.ca/en/votez for French
• At the top of each page, if you are logged in, click the Edit button

• You can edit any of the content inside the body area for this page, but do not remove the iframe. This iframe is where users will log in to vote. If this is removed, the system won’t function.

• Scroll to the bottom of the editing page and select the Publishing options tab
• Check/uncheck the Published option and save

To enable/disable voting ballots

• Navigate to https://aac.ca/en/admin/content?title=&type=advpoll&author=&status=All&vid=All
• Filter by Type “Advanced Poll”

• The Elections Test ballot needs to be set to unpublished so that it does not show for users. This one is used exclusively for testing purposes and must not be deleted. Check the checkbox next to this ballot and, under Operations, select Unpublish and then press the Execute button
• Select the live voting ballots that you wish to show to your users. Select each one by checking the checkboxes on the left, then under OPERATIONS select Publish and then press the Execute button

Editing voting ballots

• Navigate to https://aac.ca/en/admin/content?title=&type=advpoll&author=&status=All&vid=All
• Filter by Type “Advanced Poll”

• Click edit next to the ballot you wish to change
• There are only five options you need to change in here, the rest must remain as-is
• Title: must be changed to reflect what the ballot is for
• Region: this will limit who sees this ballot based on their province
• Poll Choice: these are your options for the ballot, you can add as many as you like by clicking the Add another item button
• Close poll: you must select opened or closed based on whether the election is ongoing or ended

To test voting

• Navigate to https://aac.ca/en/admin/content?title=Elections+Test&type=All&author=&status=All&vid=All
• Make sure that the test ballot is published. Please do not test voting on ballots you wish to use for your users, or else the votes will be skewed

• Navigate to https://aac.ca/en/vote for English or https://aac.ca/en/votez for French
• You can obtain a list of eligible members from here: https://aac.ca/en/eligible-election-voting-members
• Use any of these ID’s/Emails to test the voting system. Test logins and votes will be cleared from the system prior to the election going live
